So say I posted, then somebody else posted, then I posted again then they deleted their post, would that be bad for me or get me in trouble?!

If the other user deleted her/his post you should delete yours too or merge your post (edit button)

Then if the second post have been deleted you will merge your post like this (NOTE:you must delete your second post (third post)first):

Merged post:Chicken can't fly :(

Usually a moderator will take care of this for you. And don't worry, they can see deleted posts and will know that you didn't intentionally do a double.

Neoteny is correct, if a post gets deleted between two of your posts, we will know about it. We'll likely merge your posts or delete one if appropriate, but you wont be subject to any infractions for it.
