In MY opinion I dont like Sanjaya.

He is ok, and fun to watch. I really cant see myself dropping $15.00 on his CD though.

Nope. He is only staying on American Idol because 10 year-old girls are in love with him. But, when it comes to the final few, then he will definitly go. There are too many fans of the "good" people (LaKisha, Melinda, Blake, Jordin and Gina) for Sanjaya to stay on.

I don't know much about him other than the fact that he can't sing. That is sufficient reason for him to be gone from the show. Keeping him in the show will continue to lessen the credibility and value of viewers opinions in selecting the winner.

ahem. i have a little rant on this, myself.

sanjaya is not the best singer in the competition, to be honest. his audition was fine, but he went downhill as the competition progressed. he should not be in the competition, he cant sing, and the show is called American Idol.

however, im very tired of people putting him down. a simple 'he cant sing' will do just fine, thank you. but there's a lot of hate icons, hate threads, and hate videos out there on him; a very unfair thing, its not his fault hes still in the competition, its nobody's fault. people like his personality, or, more accuritly, his face, so they're keeping him around. we just have to wait and see if he wins.

although it is very amusing that at the mention of the name Sanjaya, you immediatly think of a talent show. *chuckles*

IMO, I think Sanjaya is actually good!

People aren't voting for him because of his hair or because they want to see Simon get really really mad. They're voting because they like his singing.

I am close to 10, a few years past. It is not 10 year old girls keeping him on the show. It is people voting for the worst person, and maybe just maybe a few fans. So please don't blame 10 year old girls for the mistake of him being in the competion still. Oh and I agree that he wants to be voted off because he is not even trying, yet still in the competion. I think he is also testing the public on how far this will go

In my opinion, I don't think Sanjaya is the worse singer out there. At least he CAN sing. Unlike others in the auditions... I do have to admit, I think that there are others that are more deserving. I mean keeping him instead of Chris and Stephanie? Perhaps people just stopped voting. Maybe they just got bored. Or is it those odd websites promoting the weaker competitors? Well, all I can say now is, if you want your favorite to stay, VOTE. No complaints if you didn't vote.

But to answer your question. I think he is an OK singer. He isn't the worse out there.

Most American Idol fans are taking the show way to seriously. After 6 seasons I have to say the show is getting extremely old and boring. But, thanks to Sanjaya, the show is surviving. I love him because he's terrible, and it's a free country, so people can vote for the worst if they want. At least that will make comedy of this show that is being taken so seriousy by it's die-hard audience. Go Sanjaya! Vote for the Worst!

Sanjaya isn't good at all. Vote For The Worst website is responsible for Taylor Hicks too. I thought Katherine McPhee was much better than him. It would be a real shame if people with great talent get voted off and one who doesn't have that much talent wins it all. That's not really fair.

Taylor Hicks was different, and has a different style of music, that doesn't mean he's bad. Katherine McPhee has not differency to her at all.

It is not because of the 10 year olds, as a few people said. It is because of "Vote for the Worst". I went to their site and it said stuff like, "American Idol is a fake. At auditions they pick the bad people and leave the good ones to make it a better show." Stuff like that, so to "sabatage" the show, they are voting for the worst.

I don't think Sanjaya is a good singer really. I voted for "He needs to be voted of..." But the truth is, he knows he is a bad singer, and he knows he should be voted off and not the good people. I saw it on his face when Gina got voted out. She is way better than him and deserves anohter chance.

Honestly, I feel sorry for this guy. There has been so many "Hate" Idol Websites supporting Sanjaya NOT because he is a good singer, but because they want to mess up Idol and bring its ratings down. I already posted my opinion, but I have something to add to it:

I know that Sanjaya won't win because all of those people voting for the other people will vote for someone else, probably. If their person gets voted off, and then it is down to Sanjaya and another, then all of the people who liked the people who got voted off will MOST LIKELY vote for the other person. That outnumbers Sanjaya's "Vote for the Worst" site. But that is just my theory.

I think it's more of a "popularity" thing with him, as it was with Taylor Hicks and his gray hair. For example, Sanjaya is on a website called "Vote For The Worst" and he is the one, which you are supposed to "Vote For" because he is "The Worst" [hence the name "Vote For The Worst]. So many people do hate him (Including I). But there are many people that want to mess with the show so they are keeping him in, that simple. Magazines and studies have shown, whoever that site designates as the person to vote for, is usually safe.

If Sanjaya wins this season, I'm really starting to think that American Idol is rigged. It doesn't seem like people are voting for the talent, but for other things. I already stopped watching after Gina(sp?) was voted off :(

I don't blame him for the problem but it is clear that he is the weakest of the group. But then, it could be argued that it was a travesty to allow him to remain up to this point since others who were better had been eliminated as well. The voting process has exposed a huge flaw and damaged the credibility of the contest. They will need to find a way to address this deficiency or the longevity of the show is in question.

Im very glad he was voted off, I beleive that America only wanted to vote for Sanjaya to throw off American Idol. After that crazy hairdo of his, i think people only voted for him to see what he would do next. He is not a great singer at all. Sony (the company giving a recording contract to the winning contestent) was ******** out about the possibility that Sanajya would win, even Simon said he would quit if Sanjaya won.

This goes to show how messed up our country is right now.

Our country isn't messed up. It's you that is messed up, and everyone who "hates" him. I agree he isn't a good singer, but he isn't so bad that you need to hate him. It goes to show you that now this is turning into racism.

Of little beings..? Anyways he has captured the hearts of others and if you don't like him just turn off the t.v. or go do something else, like play outside for instance or do your homework. There are so many other things to do rather than criticize someone.

Let's just put it this way, I don't watch American Idol BUT for the auditions. In those I thought he was pretty good. But, I watched a little re-cap of the episode that got him booted off, and I was pretty disappointed.

He STINKS at singing but i wanted him to win just to see what would happen o_O

I don't think we've seen the last of him. William Hung still shows up occasionally here and there. I think Sanjaya might have a little bit of a career left in him, too.
