They are less than nobodies. They're are female versions of the what many people call 'playboys'. Too much money goes to their head, I suppose.
But we must respect them as everyone else.

My vote is for neither when it's added to the options. I don't find either very attractive. If I have to base it on intellect I choose Goofy. I think he's smarter than the two combined. If I based it on clothes, the clothes win, they seem smarter as well. I'm not sure of their health other than the fact that they still seem to be moving, so I guess that qualifies as being alive. Wealth and Celebrity were inherited so it's hard to quantify that one.

How do we judge by beauty? Looking at them made me come close to barfing. Also, my dog could solve a math problem much easier than either of them could, even if they worked together at it.

People, I think we all need to take a step back.
I know they are play'girls', but they are also people. We must respect them as we respect others.
Just imagine what happened in their life, that they would have to party, and drink, and all that play'girl' stuff to forget about it.
I pity them.

In the one minute of their reality show I've seen, they were unbelievably rude. Can't say exactly what they said, not sure if it would crossing forum rules.

Yes, media does know what society wants. It's kinda messed up how we crave all of the wrong things, just so we can feel good about ourselves.
Media feeds us, and manipulates us. Yet, we like it.
The more you get into it, the more you realize how sickening the world is.

But anyways, back on subject, the girls could have good in them. But that's obviously is not what the media is filming.
And even if there isn't any good in them, we still gotta respect them like the next person. :)

I disagree. I see no reason to respect these women. They are a couple of spoiled brats.

The fact that they are human does not make them deserving of respect. Respect has to be earned.

They are both famous because of there families. Nicole isn't nearly as bad as Paris.
How can you have respect for someone when they don't respect themselves or there family???

They are both horrible role models! It's just a typical Hollywood Star: starving themselves, telling themselves "They're Hot", and living off their parents, and not doing a good thing for society with all that money. I'd rather have a leaf as a role model then these 2

Respect is earned. As a common courtesy we do convey a certain level of respect onto others that we do not know. The amount of respect they deserve will increase or diminish based on their actions. At certain times their behavior will warrant a re-evaluation of that courtesy. Unfortunately because of their celebrity status their actions have eroded much of the faith and trust that we traditionally afford to others.

I guess if I actually thought there was any redeeming value in knowing enough about either of them to find some good things to say on their behalf I might have made the effort. Unfortunately, I only have my public perception to go on. Ah! the price of Celebrity.
