We're thinking of having dinner at Blue Bayou restaurant this week.. Can we call in reservations or do we make them that morning?

Most people reserve the restaurant something like 60 days in advance. I would try to call to see. If you cant get a reservation them go over there first thing to see if they have anything open the day of. Its a tough one to get into especially this close to peoples spring break but I would try.

I'd call asap, yes. I called a few days before we left and got in at 1pm for lunch one day but it was over the weekend. Maybe on a week day you'll have more luck.

Now, it doesn't say this on the site, but when does their lunch menu end??? Cause since VMK added new orleans, I've always been wanting to try the monte cristo sandwhich myself, but it's only on their lunch menu.

Yeah, if you wait until the last minute to make your reservation, you're not getting in.

As for the lunch, I don't know. We've only been for dinner. Yum, yum!

Lunch ends at 2 or 3 ...I forget which. Every time I go, I always try to pick the latest lunch time for a reservation, because there's usually a light crowd and good access to a water-side table. It's not so important which you choose, because lunch and dinner prices are now the same!

But you can't get a Monte Cristo at dinner and that the best thing at Blue bayou :)
