Kay, I'm writing ANOTHER story called Call of the Wolf, some people have heard it and read it and some haven't and for those who haven't... Here's the first chapter!
The forests of Tarrania were oh so ever peaceful, the lush grass swaying in the wind, the mighty crashes of the waterfalls, yes everything was peaceful here in the land of Kada; the creatures of this world lived in harmony, always supplying for one another in their daily needs, and keeping the land as one. The balance of the Tarranian Forest was at so much ease, it was as simple as the four basic elements.
The ruler of this forest was not a mighty lion or lioness, it was simply a beautiful white wolf named Amethyst. Amethyst had deep blue eyes; her feet, padded with the color of the skies and her tail painted with the color as well. Amethyst was course and wise for her young age, and the pack would talk of her wisdom day and night, commenting on how great she was. She had made the rank alpha a few years before after taking on the old alpha female, Shianna. This made her very unique as she was a little older than a pup when she had done so.
Remember what I said about the animals living in harmony? Well, there's a catch, all of the creatures were united but one, the black wolf Caston.
He was hated by every creature in the forest, nobody knew why Caston was such a dark wolf, but they guessed it was from his past. Caston grew up in a neighboring pack, the Black Snow Pack, and was treated harshly from pup to grown wolf. The alpha male, his father, had no sense in caring for Caston and thus let the pack use him as target practice. That explained the deep scar Caston had on his right eye, he could hardly open his eye because of this. When anyone asked Caston about it he'd throw him against the ground and growl. "It is none of your business!" A few months after Amethyst became alpha of the White Wind Pack, Caston asked to move in. The pack of course hated him, but Amethyst decided to give him a chance, though, after a while she wished she regretted it.
Caston treated the pack as his pack before him treated him. He had no means for laughter or happiness, but he tried all he could to be the best. Since most didn't know about his past, they decided to judge by the appearance of him. He was a dusty mutt with a gray muzzle, a coal black coat and an ash gray tail that looked as if somebody ran it through a field of black dust. "Amethyst, Caston threatened your brother, Faolan." The elder wolf, Howlingmoon exclaimed to the young wolf. "Take me to that unsanitary substance..." Amethyst's hatred towards Caston was great, the pack expected hateful words to come from her mouth when she spoke of him. Caston walked up to her, with two gray wolves keeping him in line.
"You called Your Highness?" Caston spoke with hateful sarcasm. "Why did you threaten my brother, and what did you threaten him with?" Amethyst growled a twinge of fiery rage crossed her eyes. "He asked me about my past, I have no use in telling of it. I threatened to have you killed if he asked me again..." Amethyst snapped her jaw onto Caston's nose and dug her teeth into his flesh. Caston whined and pawed at Amethyst, blood was dripping onto the ground. The pack watched in deep silence. "Leee....leee....let go!" Caston kicked Amethyst back and threw her against a tree. Amethyst hit the tree and let out a shrill whine. "You are a traitor, Caston! I let you into my pack because no one else would accept you..." She took a deep breath and struggled to stand, her brother Faolan coming to help her up.
"Caston... you are banished from the pack!"
