Jezibabe 03-23-2007, 09:25 AM Thanks StitchMad, I was being dumb yet again. Wonder why I never noticed that before (the button, not being dumb). Btw I notice that eboy above does not have a button?

You're the only one that can see that. To everyone else, you have no dot at all.
Even viewing my public profile?

In your profile, it says you're offline because you're in invisible mode. :)
billabonggirl 03-23-2007, 09:48 AM Hmm.. I never really noticed that.. Silly me.
prisoner 03-23-2007, 11:13 AM I should point out that what the forum thinks of as "online" isn't always entirely correct. You will be considered "online" for up to an hour after any activity on the forum, at which point the forum will time you out.
So don't assume that a person will get back to you immediately if they are online and you send them a PM - they may have walked away from the computer half an hour ago.

An hour's an awfully long time for one to be inactive before being considered to have left. Maybe that should be shortened? I assume it's adjustable (this software is just amazing).
JeannieV 03-23-2007, 11:58 AM What about red? ;)

Red means you are "hiding". ;) It means you look offline to MOST on the forums when you are actually online.
Everyone has that option. ;):easter_basket:
Jezibabe 03-23-2007, 12:44 PM Why would you want to hide? Unless you're Yavn I suppose, then you might. But seriously, what is the point to that?

alubadubdub 03-23-2007, 01:23 PM I've known this since the first day I joined. I always like to go in normal mode though and not "hide." :D

And also when you're on the same page for a while, then refresh or go to a different page, it logs you out if you didn't click "Remember Me" when you logged in.
