Did they remove it recently or somethin'? Neoteny 03-21-2007, 04:53 PM Isn't the People Mover still in WDW? I rode it in '06. Did they remove it recently or somethin'? It's still in Walt Disney World, yes (though it's got a different name now), but it's gone from Disneyland. :( crazycrazyfrog 03-21-2007, 04:56 PM Aaaah. Yeah. People Mover Rocks. Thanx neoteny! sunday_monkey 03-21-2007, 05:02 PM I really miss Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Walt Disney World. It was one of my favorites. My sister tried to jump out of the ride when we were younger because she got so scared at the end where the signs say "Wrong Way! "Turn Back!" "Last Chance!". She thought her car really went the wrong way and she was having no part of that! LOL. Ah, memories. CiscoRau 03-21-2007, 05:02 PM It's still in Walt Disney World, yes (though it's got a different name now), but it's gone from Disneyland. :( Yep - my favorite thing in tomorrowland. Used to be the Wedway PeopleMover - now the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (TTA). Neoteny 03-21-2007, 05:03 PM At least Walt Disney World still has the Country Bears. I miss their show at Disneyland. :( BriarLori 03-21-2007, 06:44 PM I found it funny to see Mr. Toad on the list, since it's still in Disneyland. And Neoteny mentioned that Country Bears are still at WDW, so I don't think they truly "count". My favorite extinct attraction is: Horizons I miss the orange smell as we see the desert farm scene. I miss the futuristic version of the Carousel of Progress family. I miss the trippy DNA strand footage if you hit the Omnimax section just right. I miss the ending, where we all had a choice to pick our own ending. (gah!) I just miss the entire attraction. Oh, and I want a shout-out for World of Motion, too. toastman 03-21-2007, 07:53 PM the extra terrestrial ride thing was crazy ..i was like 10 when i first went on it ...it was MAD scary lol Schmoofy 03-21-2007, 07:57 PM As you could have probably guessed, Adventure Thru Inner-Space :D Neoteny 03-21-2007, 08:03 PM As you could have probably guessed, Adventure Thru Inner-Space :D I had guessed that, yes. :) CelticGaurdian 03-21-2007, 09:04 PM Other, I've never been on any of them. xD skate_bored 03-21-2007, 09:14 PM i liked the people mover but i only rode it in WDW dragnfly-princess 03-21-2007, 09:16 PM :tink: Adventure through Inner Space!:tink: CaptianNemo 03-21-2007, 09:33 PM Well just for the record!! lol 20,000 Leagues under the sea ride. check out my home movie of the entire ride. http://******************/videoplay?docid=-4645517241980558112 Enjoy Nemo Zebraa 03-21-2007, 10:05 PM The Tomorrowland Skyway.. I loved that. Thenishall 03-21-2007, 10:09 PM Mr. Toad's Wild Adventure. :Frog dogsdogs 03-22-2007, 05:27 AM I loved the People Mover. NaviMap 03-22-2007, 06:56 AM Disneyland's Peoplemover. A great relaxing leisure ride around Tomorrowland that didn't have much of a wait (or constantly short & fast moving line at least). BaHuLiPhSp 03-23-2007, 03:20 AM Disneyland's Peoplemover. A great relaxing leisure ride around Tomorrowland that didn't have much of a wait (or constantly short & fast moving line at least). That was a nice and relaxing ride, much like the Tomorrowland Transit Authority at WDW. I also miss Adventures Through Inner-Space and Alien Encounter. :( CapnOlaf 03-24-2007, 06:59 AM Bumpity Bump Bump! Look at Frosty go! ForeverGoofy 03-24-2007, 12:29 PM There were many other wonderful rides that are now gone from Walt Disney World, and even more from Disneyland, I'm sure (just considering that Disneyland is a much older park). I voted for 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea. Great Movie, Great Attraction. As a child, I remember going on that ride and actually thinking we were going underwater. LOL Silly. But in any event, I have some very fond (and some not so fond) memories of that attraction. Another ride I didn't see on the list is "If You Had Wings" (aka "Delta Dreamflight"). That was a wonderful, peaceful ride through various travel destinations - almost a vacation get-a-way in a vacation destination. "Mission To The Moon" (aka "Mission To Mars") was really quite a basic ride when you get down to the mechanics of it making "Extra Terrorestrial Alien Encounter" lightyears ahead of it. "The Skyway" was quite a different ride, as in some ways it took away a little of the magic since you could see so much of the park from that vantage point (roofs of buildings, some backstage areas, etc). And finally, "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride". Quite possibly one of the best rides ever built. While it still exists at Disneyland, Walt Disney World's version had the distinction of having two separate tracks with two slightly different experiences. A great ride all around. They will all be missed!!! MelodyRose 03-25-2007, 01:15 AM Don't remember any of them. I've never been to DLR but I have been to WDW so I may not know some of the rides.
