The VMK Values have been updated, Remember, it's against the VMK Values to create or open ANY type of 'relationship' room (rooms that include words like 'meet,' 'pick,' 'get,' 'find,' 'have,' 'taken,' etc.) in VMK. You'll be warned and possibly banned for opening any type of room that promotes this activity.

MODERATORS' NOTE: VMK has made clear their intentions on not allowing "taken, relationships, etc." Please DO NOT create any additional posts about this issue. Creating Forum discussions and announcements about this are not necessary and can lead to inappropriate discussions which DO violate our site rules at VMK Forums.

This is so exciting! Now, worthy guest rooms can get on the popular list instead of *those rooms*.

*dances* YAY!!
Today is one of the most happiest days of my life! *tear tear* :stpat_07:

AWWWWW....
Those were like the best rooms to mess around with people T_T
Looks like it time to mess with day cares :D
A good place my friend, Ditsy and I found out to mess with people is the Sci-Fi Dine. ;)
I miss Tom :(.

Thank goodness! Those rooms were not good to have as no one really knows who they might be talking to. It could be some 30 or 40 year old guy or girl meeting some kid who is 8 or 10. It just was not right or safe. Thanks VMK! You did the right thing. VMK is for friendship and fun, not an online dating site.

Haha, nice. VMK was really between a rock and a hard place on this one: shut down certain rooms and be faced with discrimination accusations, or keep them open and face certain angry parents.

Shutting down all relationship rooms was the right answer. Go VMK!

I guess the title of the rooms will stay until the owner changes them, just like you can have a Blizzard Beach room. If you delete that title you cannot retype it back because Beach is no longer in the dictionary. But I am very glad these rooms are not allowed anymore, they were starting to make me feel uncomfortable on vmk and we have to watch my little sister like a hawk when she is on because of all this taken business (please sort out the public rooms and taken!).

Don't forget that this is all new so many people don't know of the changes. Don't be too hard on them yet :)

It's about time.

No more words are needed to make this moment any sweeter.

Not really. They are only stopping the rooms doing this. You know what this means don't you? They will be doing it all the more in the public rooms, harassing us even more than they already do :(

VMK Values
Virtual Magic Kingdom is a free multi-Player game, where you can have a Disney Theme Park experience and hang out with your friends. While it is designed to be enjoyed by Guests of all ages, many VMK Players are between the ages of 8-14, so VMK needs to be a safe, non-threatening environment.

The rules are very simple. Stick to them and everyone will have fun; break them and you'll get yourself banned from the game.

You Must NOT:

Use ANY hacking, scripting or editing program with the game.
Steal other Players' credits or in-game belongings.
Describe ****** acts to other Players.
Create or open any type of 'relationship' room. (This includes, but is not limited to, rooms that include words like 'meet,' 'pick,' 'get,' 'find,' 'have,' 'taken,' etc. in the title).
Pester people who don't want to talk to you.
Swear or use sexually graphic or racist terms.
Ask other Players for their passwords, e-mail addresses, telephone numbers or other personal information.
Type your password anywhere except in the Disney registration and log-in pages, or in the Contact Us section.
Give away, trade or sell your VMK Character.
Break the law in the game or talk others into breaking it.

Oh this is great to hear. A player tried asking me to help close one of these rooms juust 2 days ago and I told him that until they made it an official rule, there was nothing I could say that would be fair.

Now...it IS finally a rule. Just wonder what took so long ;)

Haha, nice. VMK was really between a rock and a hard place on this one: shut down certain rooms and be faced with discrimination accusations, or keep them open and face certain angry parents.

I agree with this. As a person, I did not mind this as long as they kept it away in their room. (Which most took it ot in public as well) BUT as a parent, it is dangerous and sends out wrong signals of what the game should be.
