ok people it could be a number of things, as in the server might be down due to an overload of people (too many people signing on at the same time causing it to crash), they might be updating vmk (adding new material to tomorrowland or things to do with everest) etc. so don't worry im sure the staff are working to the bone in fixing things.

For people who are trying to figure out why you cant get on this is the reason.

I just talked to Host hula she told me that staff know of the problem and are working on it now. I was able to be on because I was on when It happened so I got to stay but now vmk has closed. (See in Pic)

Probably just closed for a reboot! This has happened in the past and will probably be up shortly. The closed message is always used when they are making some change or fixing a problem. It does not mean they are closed for the night.

i hope they aren't changing the large amounts of credits back or tacking away the ice cube chairs!!!

That is what's called a LIE. VMK will not close because of taken and 'night club', whatever that is.

Back on topic: I'm not liking these sudden closures and all the bugs and slowness. It makes the game less fun to play and it makes it more unreliable. Also, I'm not liking some of the rule changes... such as having only 50 people in the queue at a time. Fighting to get into the actual game was bad enough, now we have to fight to get into the queue! Arg, though I'm happy the credit amounts for games have been raised, the Ice Cube Chairs should be buyable. Many team's plans for the Everest Ride included Ice Cubes in bulk, and you can't really get too many right now with all the bugs and problems. Also, where are the snow rugs? A lot of everest teams were hoping for that to help their rides as well.

At this point I'm siding with Priz. VMK, and yavn if you're reading this, fix the bugs before releasing new stuff. The bugs pile up because they never get fixed, the game goes slow, and then has to close and there are many dissapointed and angry players.

My 2 cents.

They are probably just fixing something with the new items, credit payout, etc. They probably wouldn't have to close the whole vmk to take something out of the dictionary.

I think I will like the 50 people in a queue thing...what is the point in waiting in line after 150 people just to get disconnected when you get in the room?

People, you canot forget this:VMK is free for all of us! they do A LOT for us! if it was toontown or something that we had to pay for, it would be different bc we would expect it to be perfect for us. but vmk is free and is a great game. quit complaining and give them a little slack. yeah i admit, vmk has been a little slow today, but come on, how often is it like this? the positive definately outweighs the negative

He was just giving examples. It doesn't take an actual hour to log on

he may not have been just giving examples. I've had the same problem all day. It is taking between 30 and 45 minutes for VMK to load up and I have a high speed connection. It has loaded up very fast everyday until today. I have a friend that is having the same problem today, and another friend who is getting on fast with no problems. We are all three using Internet Explorer

Well im giveing up for the night im going to go on after work around 3pm Et. I was planing on geting the Ice Blocks and other Everest stuff but that will be hear for a while. Who knows maybe soon the Tomarowland will open up like yavn said.

I am also still having problems getting in, but I'm comforted knowing that it's not just me so it must be VMK. My suggestion is to not get mad, just try to log in in a couple hours or tomorrow. I'm sure they are trying to fix the problem. It will all probably go back to normal soon. Like someone else said, "VMK is free" and if we keep complaining so much they can always just shut VMK down. So if you can't log in okay, go read a book or something and try again later. No sense getting bent out of shape. :wave2:

I occasionally have to do this more than once.

I have this 30 minute to load the game problem too starting yesterday. Hitting the F5 key just starts the long wait all over again. I know the problem isn't my computer, because I have found out if I use Firefox instead of internet explorer the game will load up fast for me. Perhaps if the people having problems tries Firefox it would help them too :)

Well, I finally got logged in. I started the log in and then came back to the computer every hour to see if it was up yet. It took a couple of hours to get in, but once I was there I didn't have any problems playing. I played Pirates and got my first ice cube chair! Hurray! Just have to be patient until VMK gets this log in problem fixed.

For the last week VMK hasn't been working. :l
It always stops halfway and never moves again for me.
I try about 4 times each day and it dosen't work.

well there a lot of bugs that they are probably fixing...
1. The pirates game bug
2. The VMK Sound bug where the opening music plays in every room
3. The mute bug where all sounds leave after a while of no activity
4. Another Pirate bug if they even know it that only too people know about
5. Friends list bug

I hate Black Screens! It said that their were 3,783 Players in VMK but then I tried exiting out of everything and go back to the site and it dropped down to 1,477 !! :sadd2: :bawling: :sadd2:

Yes me too. Probably fixing the credit issue. It's just like being in the Administrator Control Panel of your forums. You mess 1 number or letter up, the server can crash.
