I am no computer master but this happened to me, too.

My internet explorer was out of date, and I had some problems with it being too out of date. Try downloading the new version.

well I got on Mozilla but now having problems changing rooms; it freezes or goes very slow. I especially can't get in the NPC rooms.

You may have alot of unused firles or cookies on your computer. Like I said, I am not the best with computers. @_@

Is anyone else having problems with VMK today? It was working fine for me yesterday but today I am getting the black screen. I was able to get in once but then it would stop loading when I tried to go to another area. I have cleared everything, restarted and done all the usual stuff but nothing seems to be working.

Sorry I started a thread in Techincal Problems because I thought it was my computer. I can get on VMK through Mozilla but not Pal or other browsers. But when I get there I can only enter a few rooms or play fireworks. If I try to go to the Emporium or other NPC rooms I freeze. I was beginning to think it was my computer since no one had posted a similar problem.

I am also getting the black screen and it will not load. I haven't been on VMK since about 1:30am EST (10:30pm PST) on Sunday night --> VMK crashed for me during the New Year's party and I couldn't log back on. I couldn't log on yesterday either. :(

Try mozilla; it lets youon but you can't go to many places. Try one of your smaller rooms first.

Try using another browser. I have noticed on FF that stuff like this happens. I reccomend IE or VMKPal.

I left the black screen up for about twenty to thirty minutes while I was away and still nothing, so giving it enough time to load is not the problem.

Well, I think I've figured out why it says 4533 people are on.

When I have the black screen up, loading VMK, and i refresh on the VMK Home Page, it shows my credits and pins. So probably lots of people are loading VMK, and it is counting them as logged in.

good point.. but some people actually ARE in vmk but are saying that its messed up like they cant enter rooms..

Well, they realized that if they torture a few of us by withholding what we want, we will come to appreciate that which we have more, in the long run. Namely, vmk.

I think that VMK is down. I tried on three different computers, and even the computer with the fastest internet connection doesn't load. It will go the the home page in about five minutes, [in which is a long time to load a single page] and when I click play now, one of two things happen:
A.) It loads, and when I hit 'Log in' it doesn't load, all you see is a black screen.

B.) The Log in Screen doesn't even load, so I can't even type in my Log in Name. :thmotocanagliatesta:

I've been getting the same problems as Noelle. I wasn't sure if it was my computer or VMK though.

My favorite is when I'm doing something and I suddenly can't do anything or move or anything. Things are going on around me but I'm stuck. I have to log back off and on again.

The codes thing I've noticed for a while now.
I'll enter the code and nothing happens. No message or anything. Then it goes back to letting you enter a code again.
The good news is when it happened to me I didn't lose the code, it eventually worked and I got my stuff.

Well, right now I am in the game again. Hopefully, it will last.

Every time they update the site, add new attractions or new code the servers go slow or down. Be patient and you will be rewarded with more thing to entertain your idol minds.
