I think with all the discussion over finding "love" on VMK, I think it begs the question, do you look anything at all like your VMK avatar? In my case, yes I probably look a bunch like my VMK character. The collared shirts and the short conservative hair, that's pretty much my everyday uniform. I'm horribly near sighted so you could sometimes add some emo glasses (except they're not black and plastic, and I'm NOT an emo!) when I don't have my contacts on.

So...Do you look like your VMK avatar?

I sort of do. Got the glasses and brown hair (soon to get rid of glasses), like blue, and am short-but that doesn't show up on the avatar. :)

and my lips aren't brown like my character.

I dress usually in solid colors so that is pretty much me on VMK :)

I am much, much less green in real life! (and no stash either)

This is a very fun idea for a discussion topic, but I am afraid it will lead to people giving out way too much personal information (if we're worried about people listing small towns they are from, then a physical description of what you actually look like seems out of bounds to me!). On the other hand, I know some of you have put your photos in your avatar/signature...

UPDATE: I've received some more feedback, and this topic is okay as long as you don't give out too much information. I realize that if you say "I have brown hair and wear glasses" doesn't really make you any more of a target for being abducted...just keep in mind that if you've posted your city in one thread, your real name in another, a detailed description of you here...etc...if someone is really lurking around the forum (heaven forbid!), it would be bad if they can piece together too much personal information about you.

As for me, I attempted to make my avatar look as much like me as possible (creative, huh?), although I do not own a bright red shirt. :D

I personally think giving out what you look like is WAY less like 'giving out personal' information..... Where you live is A LOT more threatning then if you look like you VMK character :confused:

I think this Thread is ok, but no I do not look like my Avatar except with the spikey hair, and IF i had a Green Tinkerbell shirt I Would wear it!!

It depends on my mood I tend to change my look often. Its fun to be blond then red or purple :D

these is no option for a goatee in the game so I almost look like my character (I am a little heavier and have a goatee.)

And no, a goatee is not the same as a VanDyke (which is the hair around the mouth.) A goatee is chin only. The game has VanDyke's, not the goatee.

I asked myself, and the answer is "sort of", but I clicked "yes" because I know when I was playing TSO that my avatar in that game looked VERY much like me. In fact, most of us looked like our Sims. Isn't that odd? You can be anyone you want, and you actually CHOOSE to be you. :)
The red hair choices in VMK are a bit limited, so my hair is obviously NOT crayon red, but it is red-brown (but graying). And aside from being 33 and not six, I also no longer wear glasses, I just got those for old time's sake.

The funny part is... Odin is helping me make a blue Jolly Roger t-shirt so I can put that, my Doc Martens and my short purple plaid skirt on next time we go play mini golf. So instead of SallySally looking like me, I'm gonna dress like her. lol

I do! I even have the red tank-top and red flip flops! And people tell me my eyes look big, (in real life) so that's why I have the huge eyes on my character lol (Look at picture in sig)

i wish to have my hair like is on my forum avatar again, if you change it after being in the game, you loose it, and i liked that the best...

I look alot like my charector....However, my hair is longer, I wear my glasses on my nose, not propped in my hair, and, as one other member said, I am a bit curvier :rolleyes:

I look a little bit like my character. I am also, umm.. curvier. I do have green flipflops. I love green flipflops. I only show my tummy when dancing. My hair is currently a darker burgundy/black and much, much, much longer. But I do have hair that color sometimes.

So I would vote a little, if that were a choice. :)

Edited to add - I usually wear mostly black. So the purple shirt is really a big move for me. lol

I look nothing like my character EXCEPT that I AM curvy in real life! But all of you people know what I look like anyway since I put my pic on here! No mystery in my corner! (I kind of look like another character! I think my friends know who I am talking about! LOL)

yeah, right! i do have dark hair; that is about all that is similar. my clothes aren't even as cute! that is sad. :( ;) i mean i don't have a black or burgundy pirate shirt ( i wish) or plaid skirt or black and white shoes.

Actually I think I look a lot like my character. The only real difference are my hair is longer, I usually have it down, and Im addicted to abercrombie jean skirts. Oh and I dont usually walk around wearing mickey ears or big green hats.

Sort of look like my Charater but not really. But really how do you no if the people you play will look like them selfs.

Yes actually I do. The colour of my hair is black but its a bit longer and I"m always sporting my gold lanyard when at Disneyland!

How many times have you seen some cute kids talking in the corner."hi. you look good" "I like your shoes" "wanna go out?" um....ok...I look like 100 other girls in VMK. those shoes are standard issue, not my personal choice. would you still try to pick me up if I had combat boots on? I have to admit(with a laugh) that this was the first time a young boy tried to convince me that he didn't mind if I was married. Just my opinion, but do we really need rooms now where you can meet a boy and "wed" I have already seen a cyber-stalker-abusive-husband-thing. My goodness. It was just a game. this is me below.sort of.well i look most like him its only the red hair that is not me.;);)

i do.. i have long hair, even though it's not poofy like my character. same color hair though. I don't have a red VMK shirt, but i wish i did!

well for starters i'm tall (5'5) and my hair is very messy (but not in spikes).
i have dark circles under my eyes and a little bit pale-skinned.
but anyways people don't really complain about how i look in real life.
