I am a little confused.

The PUSH trivia question from LAST WEEK really was confusing.

It asked which 3 attractions have a presidential apperance.

Well, I knew the answer, but I thought they meant CURRENT attractions, so I didnt submit an answer.

Unless I am totally blind, I dont think that Mr. Lincoln is still at Disneyland.

I am there all of the time, I have never seen it.

Where is it? Or where was it?

Yeah, I've never been to DLR but I'm pretty sure Mr. Lincoln in the attraction at WDW is the same one that was at DLR.

I listed it as my answer, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. I know the First 50 Years Showcase is there now, but I am not sure that it is permanent. I guess we'll find out soon. :minnie2:

No, they are diffrent.
The Hall of Presidents is in Liberty Square at WDW.

"Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" is similar, I have seen it on the internet, but it is not the same attraction.

OH! the location of the 50th film is the Opera House! It is in Town Square.

i think i worded it wrong. I know it's not the same attraction, but what i ment was that the AA-Mr. Lincoln is supposedly the same one that was used for both Great Moments and currently Hall of Presidents. I remember hearing or reading once that he says similar if not all the things he said either in World's Fair and/or Great Moments.

"Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln" is what used to be where that Steve Martin movie is now.

"Great Moments with Steve Martin" would make for a fun attraction. They could build an audio-animatronic figure to recreate classic scenes from The Jerk and The Man with Two Brains.

Great Moments is supposed to return to DL.That is what the Disney management continues to say. The Steve Martin film is only supposed to be there for a couple of years. Lincoln is apparently still sitting there behind the screen, waiting for the end of the run of the film.

Yeah, I think the whole 50th thing will end soon. Not that I would want it to end though lol. For some reason something is telling me that something new is coming soon lol.

I really like the Film,

But I have been to Disneyland hundreds of times, and really dont ever remember seeing the sign for Mr. Lincoln.

Anyway, the way that the PUSH Trivia was worded, I thought that they meant CURRENT attractions, which I why I didnt submitt a guess, but I should have, I would have had the correct answer.

I wish they would bring the Mr. Lincoln show back soon. I liked the part with the headphones when it feels like you're getting a hair cut. And it's ok to read and learn about the civil war in school but it's way cooler in Disneyland. :) THe 50th show thing was ok but I don't really like that Steve Martin dude so much because he seems really - smug -. But my mom cried at that show and really liked it, so I guess it's cool. But I could see the Lincoln show a few times and not get tired of it as fast as the 50th show.

I'd be surprised to see Mr. Lincoln return. Yes, there are those of us who enjoyed the attraction, but then there are those of us who enjoyed Adventures through Inner Space, and the Swiss Family Treehouse, and the Country Bear Jamboree, and so on. It's not up to us. Disney tends to introduce new attractions, not to bring old ones back.

It's not up to us. Disney tends to introduce new attractions, not to bring old ones back.Perhaps, but bear in mind that Lincoln has not been dismantled.

Also consider that when The Walt Disney Story was put in Lincoln's place, there was quite an uproar, forcing Disneyland to bring it back. And when a rumor circulated about 5 - 6 years ago that again Mr Lincoln would be removed, there was another uproar.

I've been told more than once that one of the top five questions asked to Cast Members is when Mr. Lincoln will return. That's probably kept the past protests in Disney's mind.

As far as I'm aware, there was no real protest when Inner Space, Swiss Family, and Country Bear were removed. Remember, Inners Space was replaced with a Star Wars ride, so that created some excitement with more than a few guests. As for Country Bear Jamboree, the only complaints I heard about was when the Winnie the Pooh ride turned out to be such a stinker. Had the Pooh ride turned out as good as WDW's or TDL's, there might not be as much nostalgia for Country Bear Jamboree.

Also consider for a moment that often when an attraction is removed from one park, it's kept in another (Swiss Family, Country Bear Jamboree). Lincoln and Hall of Presidents are probably not close enough in style or form for HOP to be considered a substitute for Lincoln.

And by the way, But I have been to Disneyland hundreds of times, and really dont ever remember seeing the sign for Mr. Lincoln. The reason for not noticing the Lincoln sign may be that the sign actually read:

The Walt Disney Story
featuring Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln

However, if you'd been hundreds of times, I don't understand why you never looked in the Opera House before the film was put there or why you never noticed Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln listed on the map. Perhaps my hundreds of times were different from yours.

I guess all this explains a lot more now.

Off Topic: is Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress still in WDW's Magic Kingdom?

My 1st. visit to DLR was in 1994, My 2nd visit was in 1998, 3rd visit was 2002, 4th visit was in Summer of 2005, and then in October of 2005, I moved to CA, and started working there in 2006.

So I have been there just about every day since October of 2005
So I guess it is easy enough to walk past on one of my visits before I worked there.
