I thought that at first too. Incase someone isn't behaving nicely, but I don't know. It's hard to tell.

I also noticed a player with the title "royalship" they were even on the leader board/ high score board.

There's no way a computer ship can talk, Its quite impossible

Also happened to me, except it said Gl, It was really a player though and my computer messed up. It has happened to me more than once though, I don't know for sure, but I thought what Schmoofy said, Staff control the Ships and apparently it would make sense because sometimes ships are good and bad. They're never Horrible in more than like two games and they're never that great either.

RoyalShip is an actual player. How do I know? He told me his former VMK title. I recognized it, and forgot to add him (XD)

I took it outside of the game but, when I looked, no player was there. I checked the whole place. It was very strange.

During the original (first version of) pirates, I added AI, and one said "fear me"

Anyway, even if there is a RoyalShip player, there was still a bug about this a few months back. I'm sure you could find the thread. But yes, a RoyalShip was talking in the Pirates Lobby, no person was visible, just speech bubbles. And the bubbles only come in two colors while playing Pirates, red and blue. Depending which side you're on.

Arg, I wish I would have made a mule account called "PirateShip" or "RoyalShip" before them. I would have had so much fun with that.

When the scores came up between stages, the "RoyalShip" was listed as "PirateShip" (a bug which has been around since the Pirates "remix" was introduced). If it had been a real player, the game would have gotten his or her name right.

I saw the elusive "RoyalShip" in game yesterday. Tried to get him to pose for a picture me, but he wouldn't do it >_<

Maybe is really is an AI talking... I mean, every player who plays it has their speech bubble in either red or blue so it probably was the AI talking.

I already cropped it. It wouldn't say much, when I looked around and clicked on the WHOLE room, no one had the title of RoyalShip.

Yes, RoyalShip is also a VMK Player (just like you and me). He/She just typed in "RoyalShip" and played Pirates when you saw that in the game. I believe someone already took the title, PirateShip too. So, if your playing on fooling players with your ship as an 'ai', don't even try ;)
