Hi everyone. I was recently in the Disneyland Resort, Cali. Adventure to be specific, and something awesome happened in ToT (Tower of Terror).

Okay, so my family and I were going from (Rockin') California Screamin' to ToT and it was nighttime so we wanted glow bracelets. My mom has them in her backpack so we didn't need to buy them. We were going to "show off" the bracelets in the picture.
We were in the elevator, had a great "elevator person". So we watched all of the things that happened, and then we got the the part where we "Wave goodbye to the real world". Now, I personally don't like that pat, it freaks me out the most. But, anyways when it got all blue and blurry you could see out glow sticks, and then we disappeared in the mirror; the glow sticks didn't. I noticed my mom's yellow one in it, so then I waved my arms up, and so did my sister and her friend. We saw them all in the mirror. Now that was a pretty awesome discovery. But my question is: How do they "get rid of" our bodies, and only our bodies?

That is very awesome.. Interesting how they do that. But I guess it's just the Magic of Disney!
I'm gonna' try that next time! :D:D

Okay now that is just weird. I can't seem to find a reason why this happened. Did you and your family ask the Cast Members at DisneyLand? If you didn't it was remain a mystery until someone discovers this interesting yet weird discovery. Good luck with finding the cause. :val01:

Very cool discovery. I'm going to have to but some glow sticks!

(By the way, I can explain why this happens, but I don't want to take away the fun of the mystery! This isn't the spoilers section!)

Well, if you asked, they might not tell you. Disney is all about secretsof how they do their rides and such.

There's a "dummy" elevator behind the glass, and the light fades to that elevator instead of the reflection of your elevator car. The light from your glow sticks still reflected in the mirror, however, making them visible.

Oh, fine, give it away. I was trying to retain the mystery. :)

Yes, it works exactly how Schmoofy described.

I thought the dummy was a small area which was mainly an image, it's mainly a trick of the light...

2 way mirrors.. if it gets brighter in the other compartment you see them rather than yourself. your bracelets were bright enough to reflect back apparently.
