i have always wonder where is vmk headquaters, not vmk central in the magic kingdoms. is it near disneyland or disneyworld. i think its near disneyland beacause of the times they display for host events. i wonder?

I heard from an Innoventions CM their main office was in Florida, close to the resort there. But they also have a smaller office near Buena Park in CA.

It is in Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Disneyland. If you remember, they closed it off for tours. The reason: so that the entire VMK world could be created there.

From what I understand, there IS no VMK headquarters. I'm sure there's some sort of planning room or something but there is no place where all the VMK employees go to work such as VMK, HOST, and QA staffers. That's because all THESE employees log in from home. :) Just like you do.

when I last went to wdw I asked the vmk central person (who seemed fairly knowledgable, not the guys who dont know what vmk is) if the staff worked in an office or at home and she told me that some of them are in anaheim and some are in florida but they are both in offices, not at home. Again, I realize that many of the vmk central folks dont have a clue but this lady was different.

And they're paying me nearly as well as my current job, too!

i dont know how much disney is but i know it must cost a prettty penny i might go to epcot but they dont have codes there :( but i might not EVER go to disney so VMK allows me to have the fun yet not have to pay :)

Well, vmk was out of the 50th quest cards when we went to DLR this summer, and the stitch hat card that i got had NO CODE on it. It was just blank where the code was supposed to be. So my dad called the peeps at disney travel and they said to take the blank stitch hat card to the disney travel place in downtown disney when we went there. So we did, but those peeps said to take it to the vmk quest kiosk in tomorrowland. The cast member there took all our info and said they would mail the stitch hat card and the 50th quest cards that they were out of. It took a long time, but they sent the cards and they came from a PO box in LBV Florida. I still have the envelope that the cards came in right here by the computer. I used google earth to check the zip code and LBV was Lake Buena Vista near the WDW resort in Florida. So I think maybe there's a Lake Buena Vista in California too, but I the LBV for VMK is in Florida.

2 hosts told me they work from home. The servers must be placed somewhere, but they don't need more than a room for it.

Well, I doubt they would install a server in their own homes. I think they connect to the servers just like we do, but are able to do much more than us. ;)

I'm sorry, I'm still 100% sure that at least HOST_ people are on from home for several reasons.

That isn't to say that developers, testers, and possibly VMK_ people are on from one or two central locations. :)
