I've been wondering how to change it too, i have been kind of sick of it. I think you have to get a new character unless you have a really good reason

Hold the ALT button and press 3 to get a heart. The number 3 buttion on the right side of your key board not the one at the top.

About your VMK name... I don't know.

To change your VMK name you must send a request to contact us to change your name, I believe, and it can not just be "because you are sick of my old name" it has to be a reason like, it gives out personal information. VMK, I highly doubt, would change your name "because you were sick of it"

Your name must contain personally identifiable information (in other words, personal info) for it to be changed. Otherwise, you'll have to create a new character and transfer your items to it. ;)

Usually, it must be more than just a first name... it would probably have to be something along the lines of your full name, adress, city, etc. for them to actually decide to change it.

Anyways, your name can be changed if you tell VMK Staff that you need to change your VMK name because it discloses personal information that can be harmfull to yourself.

If you believe you need to change your VMK name because it reveals personal information, just send VMK a message via the 'Contact Us' and explain your reasons for making this request. I'd imagine that someone would get back to you relatively soon ... although if VMK thought your name was problematic, they probably wouldn't have approved it in the first place.

Just go through Contact Us. And I don't think you can have special effects in your names.

You use contact us, you must have a VERY GOOD reason, not just your parents said so, you have to say why. I had a name change, took 2 days.

it has to be a personal reason, and/or something very important that can be giving out personal info about yourself (names don't count).

I requested a name change once when I discovered that the name I selected was also the name of an "actress" who does X-rated movies. (I did a Google search - no, I did not watch the movie.) They changed it for me.

Don't lie about your reason though. VMK doesn't want everyone changing there name all the time and if you lie about it it just makes it worse. If your sick of it just simply make a new one, you'll feel better about yourself too than if you lied xD

I have had to change my name 3 times sometimes i think they decide your name is not ok anymore and they make you change it because sometimes i just log on and it take me to the name page

another way to make hearts is by typing: &he arts; (but without the space inbetween the e and the a)

Send in a great reason of why you need it change. Example is like, it contains personal information etc.
