I don't know about you, but I like warm weather and since Punxsutawney Phil didn't see his shadow it looks like we're in for an early spring! (Yes!) Until spring arrives though, VMK has something we think will warm you up - February Fun Days!

What are February Fun Days? Glad you asked. Starting Tuesday the 6th VMK will be increasing the Credits you can win from The Haunted Mansion and Castle Fireworks Remix games. Just play the games as you usually do, but on Tuesdays and Thursdays you'll win extra Credits for playing! These 'Fun Days' are every Tuesday and Thursday through February! Just remember that the increased Credits are only for these games and only for the dates listed below:

Win a Party at Club 33!

There's a new reason to build a great Guest Room - besides the recognition you'll get from your VMK pals - starting this week VMK will be giving away party time in Club 33 to the winner of the Best Guest Room!

Here's how it works: Each weekly Best Guest Room winner will get use of Club 33 for one hour, along with 33 Tickets and a helpful staff member to help you throw an awesome Club 33 Party. So get building those Guest Rooms - and if you're not into building Guest Rooms, don't worry, we'll be announcing other cool ways to win a Club 33 Party very soon.

In case you missed it, last week we launched the new Disney Animation Quest at both Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom. This in-Park Quest gives you a chance to show off your knowledge of Disney Animated features and win a VMK Zoetrope. So get Questing!

Disneyland Fantasyland Quest – RIP
Speaking of Quests I'd like to have a moment of silence to remember our old friend the Fantasyland Quest. The Fantasyland Quest was born June 1, 2005 and ran strong at both Parks (although it went through a small revision when the Level 3 reward was changed from a Castle Pin to a Fantasyland Pin) for almost two years. This Quest provided many hours of Fantasyland fun - we hope you were one of the many, many Guests that had the opportunity to enjoy the Quest - but we must now say goodbye to our 'Purple Pal.'

Well how about the start of the VMK Racing Season - with a series of races starting Sunday February 18th. Well that about wraps things up for this week, I should mention that I and the VMK team were planning to be in Walt Disney World this week but we had to reschedule the trip because VMK HQ is moving to a new home (sorry the new location is top secret and I can't give any details)! That's right, with all the activity going on in VMK we needed more space! But trust me, it's a cool new place and we're all excited about the new home. OK now back to the packing... hey Caffdawg, do you have an extra box? You know I have to take my Chicken Hat! ;-)

I have to agree StitchMad. This just says we need to create better rooms. :)

Also, yay to more credits starting tomorrow. I'm playing fireworks :) Maybe they are doing this because they heard our complaining about games with less credits.

Guess it'll be Mansion on tuesday's and Fireworks on Thursdays for me.

Racing pin will probably be rare if it is only from HOST_Sparky's racing game.

Yay, extra credits these days, I could use some this month. And that pin is so awesome. My prediction was right, clearly there will be a full set of special event pins (maybe just for February), and I really want the whole set, I must win that pin to go with my football and valentine's pin! I'm excited, lot's of exciting new stuff, although it is kind of sad the quest is leaving, although more on the way makes me happy again, new furniture for my next trip.

I really don't see the point of Club 33. Um. Ok, so you get to use a room for an hour. So what? Why would I want to use somebody else's room for an hour? What am I supposed to be do with it? I guess maybe this will become clearer after the first winner does it, but for now it doesn't excite me.

well... its not that we expect a on of new items but they have a tendency to hold up in front of us like sayig HAHA and then never mention it again. I do have patience though so dont get me wrong.

At times I feel like those horses or donkeys with the fishing pole on their back holding a carrot to make me walk...(does anyone understand what I just said lol)

Maybe the "moving" had something to do with VMKs big crashing the last few days.

And why not increase the credits on Pirates? That's what I play. Mansion is fine though, I play that as well.

There are good guest rooms out there. They just aren't being chosen.

OMG I can't imagine the lag and the "game is full" days :asd: that's the bad thing about playing just 1 game, like when we do a quest and we have to play certain game, I hope it doesn't get too crowded :(

As it is, runners-up get 10% of their final score--
"More", I'm guessing, would be a modest 15%.

(And usually they don't beef up the credits unless they know we're saving up for Christmas, Halloween or the next Magic pin, but at least it'll be easier to get bigger Mansion games--

I agree people are making great guest rooms they are just not being picked. But you have to keep in mind there are younger people that play and they need an equal chance to win, they may not have the design talents we have, but still deserve a chance to win. And for the most part Best Guest rooms are picked partly on design and partly on how much fun and the number of people wanting to be in your room. Empty room no prize, Full room happy people gives you a better chance. Good Luck to all.

I am excited about the credit Fun Days. Finally an increase in credits just when it seems like everything is being taken away from us (yeti, empty chest boxes, etc). Bravo VMK for these days. Although I stink at Haunted Mansion, it will be worth my while to at least try now. Not sure about fireworks though.

I do not like the exclusivity of the Club 33 room for best guest rooms. This game is targeted for 8-14 year olds. I know a lot of the guest room winners happen to be adults ~ not all of them ~ but a lot. Imagine the huge disappointment in this when an 8 year old does the best that they can and never to win the "special" party room. Just makes me wonder.

I'm in total agreement over the quality of the selected rooms lately. No offense to some of the recent winners, but I know for a fact there are more worthy candidates out there. If only there was a better judging system..

Arg! Yes! It's bad enough that people on the game call it the chicken hat, despite the fact that it's obviously a reference to the hat-nesting seagull from Pirates of the Caribbean and the fact that we could always say "seagull" so there was no reason to dance around it, but now Yavn's jumping on the inaccurate bandwagon? For shame.

I think it's a joke on his part, kind of making fun of the fact that everyone else calls it the chicken hat.

You may not be the best Haunted Mansion player around, but you're twice as good now as you were yesterday!

I'm lovin' this 700 credits per game.

I agree with those that think February fun days should be spread around to all the games. Maybe Monday for jungle cruise (yawn...sorry!), Tuesday for mansion, Wednesday for pirates, Thursday for fireworks. That would be fun and would help ease the pain of the 'Great Credit Reduction' that's going on now.

As for the racing pin...ehhh. It looks like this month the designers decided to just phone it in:

"Let's design a football pin! A football with a 'VMK' on it! Wow!"
"And let's make a new Valentine's pin! A heart with 'VMK' on it! Great Idea!"
"And a racing pin! This time a tire with 'VMK' on it! Cool!"

Gosh, no one else could ever have thought of these great designs.

If only they'd doubled the Yeti Vision credits instead of eliminating them. :)

Just make a room better then everyone else for the best room.

The good room is one challenge. Getting staf to judge it is a whole 'nother issue.
